We've added a new and exciting format to our focus on Green issues.
Our goal: Build Sustainable Relationships in a Sustainable Community. Both locally, in Marin and the Greater Bay Area, and globally.
Our purpose: Celebrating the Dawn of a Greener World…with you!

Each Green Salon will be a wonderful evening of networking, connecting and sharing with those of us deeply passionate about being good stewards of the Earth. Each event will feature one or more speakers presenting cutting-edge ideas, practices, products and services.
If you are passionate about building mutually rewarding relationships and sustainable communities, our Green Salons are for you! Take this opportunity to introduce yourself and your work to others just as concerned about current environmental challenges.

Please join us next Tuesday, September 11 for a viewing of the dynamic new feature film documentary, The 11th Hour, produced and narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio. We invite you to join us for either the 5:30 or 7:50 showings at the Sequoia Theater in Mill Valley.
Beginning at 7 pm, at Greenwood School, we'll offer an ongoing reception, music, celebration and conversations and a panel discussion about the film. For this important evening we are collaborating with some of the Bay Area's leading Green individuals and organizations. Even if you've already seen the film, we whole-heartedly invite you to join us for the music, celebration and discussion at Greenwood School.

Our Green Salon Launch Party, the Green Salon Networking Party for Green Friends and Businesses, is next Thursday, Sept. 13 from 7:30 to 10:30 pm at Sunrise Center.
It's your opportunity to:
- Meet others who care about transforming our world;
- Promote YOUR Green business, product or service;
- Hear dynamic speakers share about new resources; and,
- Enjoy a melange of desserts, drinks & sacks — potluck-style.
At our kickoff event on Sept. 13, we are choosing to allow more time for more speakers by not having one main presenter. Rather, we'll offer limited time to many individuals to share about their projects, businesses, successes, challenges and visions. Please call Sunrise Center at 415-924-7824 if you would like to request time to share about yourself and/or your work.
Additional Green Salon evenings have already been scheduled through October, featuring local experts presenting about topics such as Bio-Ethanol, Electrical Efficiency and Recycling and Zero Waste Strategies. (See dates below.)
Each evening will have a similar format:
• Socializing and networking time
• 60 to 90 minutes of presentations by one or more leaders in the Green field
• Q & A and/or Discussion
• Raffle for free Green products and services.
Every paid participant gets a free raffle ticket.
• Literature and information tables available throughout the evening
We'll also schedule other evenings like our Launch Party (the next one is Oct. 17) --- entirely devoted to networking and sharing information about what others in the Bay Area are doing to promote Green consciousness and practices.
