Do you know that a typical American contributes twelve tons of carbon dioxide to our atmosphere per year, simply by how s/he lives at home? Carbon emissions are key culprits in the catastrophic climate change (which includes global warming) that is occurring all over the world right now. Would you like to learn how to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide that you contribute, yourself, and, thus, help to lessen the overall carbon impact on the planet?
In this presentation, we will share simple things we all can do to make the necessary changes. We will touch upon what is possible to achieve, as well as look at what is being currently done and what must yet be done in order to make a positive impact for the future.
You will learn how carbon impact is measured and how to make intelligent choices about conserving energy. We will discuss how the energy we use is made, how we use it, and the true costs of our usage; i.e., the costs to our economy and our environment that go well beyond what we pay to PG&E each month. In fact, we will share information on how to reduce energy usage that comes from an energy efficiency expert who has a PG&E bill of only $11 per month—with no solar or wind assist—having made these changes through informed conservation practices only!
Please bring a copy of your PG&E bill so that we can help you understand it more fully. We will also show you ways you can conserve water in your home, saving even more energy output — and money. Some products to reduce your electric and water bills will be available for sale at the presentation.
Additionally, we will examine techniques and some of the many products available to improve energy conservation and share resources with you to find solutions to improve the way you spend your energy dollars. We will present and display an assortment of high-efficiency lighting products and we’ll share information about lighting and how to find high-efficiency lights that have the colors and qualities you want in your home.
Some of these products that can reduce your electric and water bills will be available for sale at the presentation.
