These are the skills you will learn during our Beauty of Needs playshop.
If you are new to Compassionate Communication (aka: NVC), this is a great foundation to begin with. If you have you been studying Compassionate Communication, are you longing to be more spontaneous with it? Are you wanting to use Compassionate Communication in such a way that it sounds less mechanical?
In this playshop, you can learn how to quickly access the beauty and energy of our universal needs, longings and desires. Learn how to connect to what is truly driving us. Discover simple tools that will allow you to connect with yourself and others. We will learn how to embrace the beauty of our needs (values, longings).
Lori and Scott will share what they have learned through extensive training with Robert Gonzales. Robert is the President of the Board of Directors for the Center for Nonviolent Communication. He is acclaimed as a master teacher, traveling throughout the world sharing his unique understanding.
Learn new approaches to make the practice of Compassionate Communication even more vibrant and easy to express. The beauty of the need is emphasized rather than the pain of unmet needs. Since how we talk influences us all the time, what we find is that if we dwell more in the beauty of the need, we are more likely to feel inspired and to understand others.
Lori and Scott will help you integrate the beauty of your needs into your understanding of self and of others. Participants will be receive worksheets developed by Robert Gonzales and will also work in pairs. A very full and rich evening.
Lori has hosted Robert's advanced workshops at her retreat site in Maui for the past four years. Scott recently completed directing & producing a series of DVDs for Robert on The Living Energy of Needs. Together, Scott and Lori have a combined 20 years of studying, practicing and teaching Compassionate Communication.
Lori was introduced to Compassionate Communication in 1999. She introduced Scott to Compassionate Communication in 2001. She has been teaching Compassionate Communication in California, Hawaii and New York and has been instrumental in bringing NVC to the Hawaiian islands.
