TANTSU® for Couples and Singles
A new way of being with others
with Amber Seitz

Amber Seitz

Learn to share this powerful and intimate form of bodywork with a partner or someone with whom you can share closeness. Learn close cradles and whole body holds that allow you and your partner to share in energy flows while you explore a Watsu-on-land-styled Zen Shiatsu approach. You and your partner will share feelings of deep relaxation and connection that allow for a whole new way of being.

Each two-and-a-half hour class will introduce a different comfortable core hold you can use to support, access, rock, stretch and work the whole body. Each session is easy and complete enough in itself for you to be able to return home and begin sharing twenty-minute sessions. Longer modules integrate and expand these holds with more stretches and bodywork. For more information about Tantsu, various modules and Amber, please visit http://www.tantsu.com/.

Tantsu is Support at the Base
Support at the base of the core is constant throughout a session. The base is where we drop into the emptiness at the bottom of the breath, where the flow of our meridians, the resonance of our chakras, and the wave that is that resonance flowing, all originate. And it is the place where everything returns. Tantsu’s sacred support grounds us while Tantsu’s whole body containment becomes the peace that surrounds and invites us to rediscover in our heart, our oneness.

Tantsu is Watsu on Land
In Watsu (Water Shiatsu) floating someone level with our heart, starting with the only movement being the water lifting us together as we breathe in, we learn how much movement arises through the area around our heart, how the heart is as much a part of our core as its traditional center in the Hara. Now the spontaneous movement, the dance, and the moments of stillness, that we have learned to share with others in the water, can be shared with anybody in loose clothing on a mat or carpet.

On land, breathing with someone, cradling their core between our legs as we rock, stretch and work whole sides of their body, we discover a level of containment, of peace, that, alongside all the physical and emotional benefits shared in Tantsu, is a new way of being with others. Learn to connect and listen with your whole core.

Partnering
Tantsu is for couples/pairs and singles. Each participant must have a partner during the class. It is fine to register with a beloved, close friend or an acquaintance — anyone you will be comfortable being physically close to. Although you will be intimately close with your partner, Tantsu is not sexual.

Individuals may also register as a single and will be paired with the next single to register of the other gender. It is perfectly fine to partner with someone of the same gender, if that would be comfortable for both of you. Please let us know when you call to register. If gender is not a concern, we'll partner you with the next person to sign up (who is also comfortable either way).

This class is limited to 20 students.

What to bring
• Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing
• Nest material and
• at least 3 pillows to make the work comfortable for yourself
• Water bottle (optional)

Working with couples and others to provide an opportunity to deepen intimacy and connection has been such a joy, especially when teaching Tantsu to them. Coming from a background in massage, healing, yoga and Tantra, I bring awareness and insight into the material. I have been personally working with Harold Dull in the development of Tantsu for Partners and have a complete experience in presenting the work to others by co-teaching the material in our 2 day workshops."
